I’m a drug counselor in the east coast and the term “caught a vibe” is def a term for just shot up heroine. The lyrics saying I can’t go to sleep but I can’t stay awake seems to refer to the limbo state of nodding out in heroine where you can’t stay awake but your really not sleeping either. Whether they meant it to be about using drugs or not allot of the lyrics can be interpreted that way. As for the whether the lyric is “I just got a drug text” or if it’s “drunk text” there are many songs that change some lyrics for the PG version for radio, similar to the ABC song saying get lost instead of get fucked so who knows. But if it’s drugs or alcohol it promotes driving under the influence down the 405 and being hypnotized by the lights so either way I don’t think either are a positive message. I’m kind of confused as to where Willow got the English sounding accent when she was raised here is the US lol However I do like the sound of the song and they have great voices.
